Question:
Why does the blower fan keep running after I turn the UniqueHeat off?
Answer:
The blower fan is going to continue to run until the heat chambers are cooled downs  After a few minutes, the fan will shut itself off automatically.

Question:
The UniqueHeat's® airflow seems to have diminished. Now, why is that?
Answer:
Make sure the rear view unit is not blocked. Make sure your filter is cleaned. Take a quick look at the filter maintenance procedure video to see how to do that.

Question:
Can I use my heater in the bathroom?

It's not recommended for two reasons. First, due to the high moisture content in the bathroom, and second, the exposure to water.

Answer:
Will I be able to use the heater in a basement or a garage?
Question:
Absolutely. But keep in mind that these rooms have little insulation and they will not retain the heat as efficiently. Also, bare concrete floors act as a heat sink and will suck and draw that heat down just as any heating system will. Placing your UniqueHeat® a few feet off the floor will offer much more efficient heating.

Question:
Can I use more than one heater at a time?
Answer:
Yes, but you should make sure that you're not on the same circuit. Each heating system should use its own circuit.

Question:
Can I use my heater on a job or a construction site?
Answer:
The answer is no. These units move a lot of air and they're not designed to be used in a high dust dirty environment. Using the UniqueHeat® for this purpose will void your warranty. Also, any commercial use of your UniqueHeat® will void the warranty.

Question:
Can I move my heater around while it's operating?
Answer:
The answer is no. It's not recommended to move any portable heater around while it's operating. We recommend only moving your heater after the fan is completely turned off.

Question:
Can I use the heater and another appliance at the same time?
Answer:
Yes, as long as they're not on the same circuit. Infrared heaters, like all zone heaters, are considered to be an appliance. Your freezer, refrigerator, microwave, oven, washing machine, and other such appliances should not share the same circuit breaker.

Question:

Can I use an extension cord, surge protector or power strip with my heater?

Answer:
The answer is no. And this is a very, very important note. If you don't have a grounded outlet, contact a licensed electrician in your area for advice. Never plug your heater into a power outlet that is a power strip or an extension cord only straight into the wall. Now, removing or altering any part of your heater in UniqueHeat® any way not only voids the warranty but can result in a personal injury or death.

Question:
Why doesn't sometimes the temperature on my heater match the exact temperature displayed on my wall or on my external thermostat?
Answer:
If you're using the Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature display on your heater, the temperature on your heater may vary from the temperature that's going to be displayed on another thermostat, like the one mounted on your wall.

The temperature sensor on your heater is located in the very back and down low by the floor. Now the unit is located on the floor and heat rises, which in turn will display a cooler temperature than an elevated or external thermostat. The best way to operate your heater is just to set the temperature that feels comfortable to you, or more importantly, use the one through 20 scale like most of our customers. That way you'll be able to find the perfect number for your environment.
