Hi. Thanks for watching this video. Now, these are some warnings and practices that you want to avoid with your Unique Heat personal heating systems. Now, this is going to sound official because I'm reading it directly out of the manual.

Any improper use of this heater can result in the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.

  • Warning – Unauthorized Service

First, any required service other than filter maintenance should only be performed by an authorized Unique Heat service representative. Any repairs attempted by anyone other than that will void your warranty.

  • Warning – Front Grill

The heater grill in front of your heater will get hot. To avoid burns, do not let your bare skin touch the hot surface.

  • Warning – Combustible Materials

Always keep combustible materials, such as pillows, bedding, papers, curtains or anything else at least three feet from the front of your heater, and keep them away from the sides and the rear of your unit as well.

  • Warning – Unattended Operation

Extreme caution is necessary whenever it's operated around children or whenever it's left unattended in operating.

  • Warning – Damage or Malfunction

Do not ever operate your heater with a damaged plug after the heater malfunctions or after it's been dropped or damaged in any manner. In these cases, contact [email protected] and let our customer care representative know what's happened.

  • Warning – Do not use in the Following Environment

Do not use your heater outdoors or on a construction site. The heater is also not intended to be used in bathrooms, laundry areas, or any location with standing water, shower or a swimming pool. Next, never place your heater where it may fall into a bathtub or water container.

  • Warning – Power Cord Placement

Now, do not run the power cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners or similar coverings. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas and where it won't be tripped over.

  • Warning – Power Strips, Extension Cords, Air Fresheners, Surge Protectors

Now, do not plug your heater into any power cord. Do not plug it into any surge protector, any power surge device, any kind of multiple outlet adapter, or any of those air fresh plugs. To disconnect the heater, power the unit off, then remove the plug from the outlet.

  • Warning – Plugging in & Unplugging

Only plug it into a three prong 110-volt/15-amp outlet or higher grounded plug.

  • Warning – Foreign Objects

Do not insert or allow any foreign objects to enter into the ventilation or exhaust openings, as this can cause an electric shower of fire or it can damage your heater.

  • Warning – Do not Block Exhaust or Air Intakes

Now to prevent the risk of fire, do not block any air intakes or exhaust at any manner.

  • Warning – Soft Surfaces

Do not use your personal heating system on soft surfaces like a bed where openings may be blocked by blankets.

  • Warning – Filter Maintenance

As mentioned in a previous video, when performing filter maintenance, do not force the filter to dry using alternative methods because doing so can damage your filter.

  • Warning – Flammable Liquids

All personal heating systems, including this one, has hot or arcing, sparking parts inside, do not ever operate where and around flammable substances such as gasoline, paint, or any other flammable liquids. And don't use or store your unit in the area as well.

  • Warning – Loose Plug Outlets

Now this is very important. Do not plug your heater into a loose fitting or broken receptacle.

  • Warning – Design Alteration & Mis-use

Do not alter the heaters design in any way or you're voiding the warranty. Any other use is not recommended and may cause fire shock or injury to persons and may void your warranty.

Now, thank you for taking the time to understand the dos and don'ts of your Unique Heat personal heating system.

Thanks for watching.
